"Small things done with great love, will change the world."

A child’s first few years in school are such precious milestones and the opportunity to share it with you brings joy to my heart. I am thrilled to be a part of such an inspiring school. Being born and raised in Lompoc, I have a great sense of commitment to the education of our students in this beautiful valley. So much so, that after a year and half away at college, I knew that Lompoc was the place I wanted to raise a family. So, the day after I graduated from Sonoma State University I returned to Lompoc and soon after, married my husband Eric and begin my teaching career. After directing a preschool for a few years and working as a class size reduction teacher in first grade, I took some time off to have my daughter Lilly Anne. She and her brother (who came along in 2010) are the absolute joy of my life, and a blessing to our family. When Lilly Anne was 6 months old, I decided it was time to begin work on my master's degree at Chapman University and to go back to teaching. I have taught kindergarten, first grade and second grade at Manzanita. In 2011 I was given an incredible honor by Santa Barbara County Education when I was awarded the North County Elementary Teacher Crystal Apple Award; it was an amazing highlight in my teaching journey this far and I look forward to making many more life changing memories. Here’s to a memorable and incredible school year together!
