ALMA CAMACHO
Kindergarten Teacher

Hello!  My name is Alma Camacho. I am a Kindergarten teacher at Manzanita Charter School.  My love for children and my passion for teaching is what inspired me to pursue a career as an educator.  I am a certified bilingual teacher.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and my teaching credential from Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo.  I have been teaching at Manzanita for 13 years.  The Summer after I completed the teacher credential program at Cal Poly, I was offered a kindergarten position here at Manzanita and I’ve been teaching here since. Working at Manzanita has been a wonderful experience. I’ve seen our school develop and flourish into what it is today.   The love and dedication that our staff gives day to day is “one of a kind” and it’s one of the many reasons that makes us a “one of a kind” school.  I feel fortunate and blessed to be part of the Manzanita Family!

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Oscar, for 23 years.  We have 3 children: Ariana (6 yrs. old), Alessandra (2 yrs. old), and Adriel (10 months old).  I have lived in the Central Coast for the last 30 years. I am happy to be part of this community and to raise my children here. I am very excited to start a new school year!  I look forward to a great school year and getting to know you and your family.  I hope to create a partnership with your family to make kindergarten a great and enjoyable experience for you and your child.

Welcome to our Manzanita Family!
