Hello everyone!

My name is Kaylee Felix, and I am so excited to be teaching at Manzanita!

​

This is my first year as a classroom teacher, but I have spent the past two years working as a substitute teacher. I graduated from Cal Poly in 2024 and earned my teaching credential from Los Angeles Pacific University this summer.

​

I have lived in Santa Maria my whole life and am the oldest of four siblings. My youngest siblings are currently in third and fifth grade, so I have had plenty of opportunities to work with and learn about this wonderful age group. I love helping students discover the joy of reading, writing, and exploring the world around them.

Outside of the classroom, some of my favorite things are cats (I have three adorable feline companions I could talk about for hours!), Disney, and Pokémon.

I am looking forward to an amazing year of learning and growing together. I can't wait to meet all of you and your families!
