SARAI GARCIA
First Grade Teac
her

Hello!

My name is Sarai Garcia. I am so excited to be starting my first year as a first-grade teacher here at Manzanita. While this is my first official year in the classroom as a lead teacher, I’ve been part of the Manzanita family for the past four years—first as an Instructional Assistant, then as a Teacher Tutor and substitute. This school community truly feels like home, and I’m so happy to continue growing with it.

I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and am currently pursuing both my teaching credential and master’s degree in education. I am deeply committed to this profession and passionate about creating a classroom that is safe, positive, and welcoming for all learners. My goal is to foster a love of learning, build strong relationships, and support every child in reaching their full potential.

I was born and raised in Santa Maria with my parents and two sisters, Yanelly and Miah. I’m also a proud mom to my daughter Catalina, who just turned four and will be starting school too! When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll likely find me spending time with family or friends, working out, or exploring new places with Catalina.

I’m truly honored to be part of your child’s learning journey and am looking forward to a wonderful year together!
